About this program
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife offers Proposition 68 grants to restore Southern California steelhead habitat in alignment with state and federal recovery plans. Approximately $15.9 million is available for projects that remove significant migration barriers and improve habitat, climate resilience, water retention, and related infrastructure; awards are provided on a reimbursement basis for up to three years, with no matching funds required.
