About this program
The APA Division 18 Psychologists in Public Service Wayfinder Award recognizes an individual whose research, teaching, clinical practice, program development, advocacy, or other work has made outstanding contributions to a Native community. Contributions may support cultural revitalization, healing, self-determination, or recovery from historical trauma among American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or First Nation peoples. Nominees from all disciplines are eligible and need not be psychologists or psychology students. Nominations require a supporting letter, the nominee’s curriculum vitae, and two additional letters of support; materials are due annually by May 31.
