Queensland Pest Animal Team Award (team excellence in pest animal management)

About this program

Invasive Species Queensland (ISQ) administers the biennial Queensland Pest Animal Team Award to recognise and reward teams that have delivered exceptional on‑ground pest animal management in Queensland, including projects ongoing or completed within the past two years that advance knowledge, stakeholder awareness, innovative practices, planning or collaborative management. Nominations are open to pest animal management teams based in Queensland and may include ISQ members and non‑members, but submissions must be made and signed by one or more financial members of ISQ by the specified deadline; optional endorsements or referees are viewed favourably and a committee appointed by the ISQ executive assesses entries. The winning team’s name is engraved on a perpetual trophy (displayable until the next PAWS), individual certificates are issued to team members, a team representative is invited to present at the Pest Animal and Weeds Symposium (PAWS) dinner, and ISQ will meet reasonable travel expenses; no monetary prize is specified.
