Ralph B. Peck Award

About this program

The ASCE Geo-Institute, with support from the Geoprofessional Business Association, presents the Ralph B. Peck Award for outstanding contributions to geotechnical engineering through well-researched case histories, recommended practices, or design methodologies based on case histories. The award includes a gold-plated medal, an honorarium, and an invitation to deliver the Peck Lecture.

Nominees may be individuals or collaborating authors, regardless of ASCE membership or nationality, whose peer-reviewed work—typically published within the preceding five years—evaluates subsurface conditions and the performance of constructed facilities. Nominations are due June 1 and must include a signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two or three recommendation letters.
