Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards

About this program

ORAU’s Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards provide small research enhancement grants to support early‑career faculty at member institutions, administered through the ORAU PeerNet system and evaluated for scientific/technical merit, methodology, applicant performance, adequacy of facilities, and likelihood of producing fundable or publishable work.

Eligible applicants are full‑time assistant professors at ORAU member institutions within two years of their initial tenure‑track appointment (appointments dated January 1, 2024–January 7, 2026). Applications must be submitted as PDFs via PeerNet and include a one‑page résumé, one‑page publications list, a two‑page research proposal addressing goals, background, expected outcomes, methods, applicant competence, facilities and budget justification, an optional one‑page references list, a nomination letter from the chair/dean, and a completed Councilor Support Form.
