About this program
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) supports the Mizuno‑Ratnam Young Gynaecologist Award to provide financial assistance for attendance at the Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AOFOG) Biennial Congress, enabling skill updates, regional networking and leadership development in women’s health. Eligible applicants are RANZCOG Fellows and Trainees aged 40 years or under from Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand; RANZCOG funds two scholarships each biennium (one per country), while AOFOG administers broader YGA awards across its 23 member countries with varying national funding arrangements. Applications are not yet open—the 2028 application period will open in 2027–2028—queries can be directed to RANZCOG Global Health at globalhealth@ranzcog.edu.au.
