Rare Pediatric Diseases Research Grant Program

About this program

Florida Department of Health is offering the state’s first recurring grant program to support innovative research and treatment for rare pediatric diseases, with $500,000 available in FY 2025–26 to solicit and award one or more research grants. Funds are intended to expand Florida’s research capacity, investigate novel therapeutics, reduce impacts on underserved populations, and encourage diverse partnerships including nontraditional collaborators. Eligibility is limited to Florida-based institutions, which must submit applications and required grant-management documentation through the Department’s procurement and contracting processes. Awardees will be bound by the Department’s grant management forms, submission portals, and fiscal rules.
