Reactor Physics Division Early Career Reactor Physicist Award

About this program

The Reactor Physics Division (RPD) of the American Nuclear Society offers the Early Career Reactor Physicist Award to recognize early-career RPD members who have made new and significant technical contributions in reactor physics; the award includes a plaque, a letter from the RPD chair, and covered registration for the ANS Annual Conference or a Reactor Physics topical meeting (e.g., PHYSOR). Nominees must be 39 years of age or younger at nomination, have been RPD members in good standing for at least three years, and be lead author on at least four peer‑reviewed full papers of high technical quality reporting new significant work. Nominations (deadline August 1) require a completed form, a nominator letter, a publication list, a brief chronological résumé, and two (no more than five) letters of support; submit Word or PDF files via email to honors@ans.org. The RPD Honors and Awards Committee selects one recipient per year, and unsuccessful nominees may be resubmitted once before their 39th birthday.
