About this program
The American Chemical Society (ACS) offers the Regional Awards for Excellence in High School Teaching to honor outstanding high school chemistry teachers in ACS Regions. Established by the Division of Chemical Education (DivCHED) in 2004, this award includes a cash prize, plaque, and travel reimbursement to the Regional Meeting for presentation. Eligible applicants are high school chemistry teachers (grades 9-12) actively teaching at least half-time, who demonstrate exceptional teaching quality, innovative methods, student inspiration, extracurricular involvement, professional development, and leadership in the field.
