About this program

The American Chemical Society (ACS) Committee on Public Relations and Communications offers the Local Section Public Relations Awards to honor ACS local sections, divisions, and international chapters for their exceptional efforts in promoting chemistry to the public or members. Two awards are granted annually, distinguishing between new and continuing communications programs. Eligibility is limited to ACS local sections, divisions, and international chapters, with partnerships encouraged but primary responsibility retained by the nominating entity. Nominations must be submitted through the Annual Report by February 15, 2025, with awards presented at the fall ChemLuminary Awards Ceremony.
