About this program

Division 2’s STP Award for Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion honors instructors of psychology who foreground DEI and social justice in their teaching and mentoring, providing $1,500, a plaque, and up to $1,500 to attend Division 2’s Annual Conference on Teaching. The award recognizes curricular and pedagogical approaches that broaden perspectives beyond traditional psychology content to include experiences from minoritized identities (e.g., sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, social class, race/ethnicity, religion, immigration status). Eligible applicants are instructors of psychology who can demonstrate that their teaching and mentoring prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion and align with Goal 3 of the APA Guidelines for the Undergraduate Psychology Major. Application deadline: February 1, 2026.
