About this program

The Merck Research Award, sponsored by Merck and the ACS Committee on Women Chemists, recognizes eight graduate students for their research in chemistry-related fields, providing a $1,500 stipend to cover expenses for presenting at the ACS Fall Meeting. Eligible applicants are third and fourth-year graduate students in Organic, Inorganic, Medicinal, Analytical, Chemical Biology, Computational, or Structural Chemistry, open to U.S. citizens (studying anywhere) and non-U.S. citizens enrolled in U.S. or Canadian programs. Applicants must submit a resume/CV, cover letter, proposed abstract, and advisor letter, with prior award recipients ineligible.
