Research Conference Grant

About this program

The Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) National Office offers a Research Conference Grant of up to $10,000 to support organizers hosting standalone (non-annual/biannual) conferences in Canada that benefit CAG members and trainees by offsetting trainee and participant costs such as registration, travel, accommodation and meals (honoraria are ineligible). Conferences should be 1–2 days, attract more than 50 participants, include both local and international faculty, and incorporate a trainee program (optimally both basic and clinical); one conference grant is awarded per July 1–June 30 period. Applicants must be CAG members in good standing for at least three years, may not apply concurrently for the CAG Research Workshop Grant, and must formally acknowledge CAG sponsorship on conference materials. Applications are submitted by September 1 (11:59 PM ET) via a single-session online form with required uploads (Letter of Request, Program of Events, Budget); late submissions are considered the following year and successful applicants are notified within one month.
