RMS Scientific Achievement Award

About this program

The Royal Microscopical Society awards the RMS Scientific Achievement Award to recognize outstanding scientific contributions in any area of microscopy or flow cytometry by established mid‑career researchers. Up to five recipients may be named each year; the award takes the form of a certificate (no monetary prize) and nominees are normally expected to have run their own research laboratory for more than 10 years; the scheme is open worldwide but excludes Honorary Fellows. Nominations must be made by a colleague using a form and supporting documents (nominee CV, publications list, a 300‑word résumé of contributions with top five publications, a covering letter and 1–2 letters of support; a shortened CV may be accepted for confidential nominations); nominations are not being accepted at present and the current deadline has passed.
