About this program
The American Ceramic Society’s Basic Science Division offers the Robert B. Sosman Award and Lecture, the division’s highest recognition for outstanding achievement in basic science that has had a significant impact on the field of ceramics; the awardee delivers a plenary lecture at the ACerS Spring Meeting and receives a commemorative certificate and glassware. Recipients are chosen by the award committee as individuals judged to have made the most significant contribution to ceramics basic science. Nominations are due March 1 annually via the society’s nomination form; completed forms should be emailed to Erica Zimmerman at ezimmerman@ceramics.org.
