Roland Jackson Memorial Grant — support for research and production in music analysis

About this program

The American Musicological Society's Roland Jackson Memorial Grant awards up to $2,000 to support production of projects in music analysis—such as articles, books, digital resources, performances, or syllabi—in honor of Roland Jackson. Grants may be applied to research costs, travel, and living expenses incurred during the project. Applicants must provide a prospectus (≤1,000 words) describing work completed and the research plan, a detailed (preferably itemized) budget, a curriculum vitae, and one letter of recommendation. Eligible projects engage directly with interpretation and realization of musical works (including scores, recordings, and performance practice); AMS membership is not required.
