About this program
The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) offers the Rose L. Vormelker Award to honor a mid-career practicing librarian or information professional who demonstrates exceptional commitment to teaching and mentoring students or working professionals. The award consists of an engraved glass flame, presented at the Information Science Summit & Special Libraries Conference. Nominees must be current ASIS&T members in good standing and have at least 10 years of professional experience; current Awards & Honors Committee or Board members and prior recipients are ineligible. Nominations, due April 8 or the adjacent weekday, must include a 200–500-word statement, curriculum vitae, nomination letter, and up to three supporting letters from students or mentees.
