Royal Meteorological Society Carers' Fund – grants to support carers attending meteorology events

About this program

The Royal Meteorological Society’s Carers' Fund offers RMetS members grants of up to £250 to cover additional care-related costs (for example, extended childcare, babysitters, travel for a carer, or after-school provision) that would otherwise prevent attendance at meteorology-related conferences, meetings or events. A total of £2,500 is available each year and awards are made on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must be RMetS members, complete the Carers' Fund Application Form and provide brief event details plus a description of how the grant will be used; full guidance and the application form are available from the Society (membership@rmets.org, 0118 2080 142).
