About this program
The San Diego River Conservancy offers up to $6 million in state funding for local assistance projects that advance its mission, the San Diego River Conservancy Act, strategic plan, and other approved state priorities. Eligible projects must benefit the San Diego River Watershed or Consortium Watersheds and may address environmental, water, parks, recreation, or disadvantaged-community needs. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments; matching funds are not required, and awards are provided through reimbursement.
