SDSPS Mini Grant Program

About this program

The South Dakota State Poetry Society (SDSPS) offers Mini Grants—matching awards to support projects that promote poets and poetry in South Dakota, with up to $1,000 budgeted annually and up to four awards of up to $250 each. Eligible applicants are current SDSPS members, including South Dakota Poet Laureates; individual requests of up to $250 must indicate matching funding sources. Proposals (submitted in time for the Fall issue of Pasque Petals) must include a cover letter and a Project Narrative with an Overview, Needs Statement, detailed Project Description (timeline, personnel, start/end dates), Assessment, and Project Budget. Awardees must acknowledge SDSPS at project events, provide membership/submission information, and submit a Final Report within 30 days of completion including evaluation, financial statements with receipts, and documentation of SDSPS recognition; questions to sdsps.membership@gmail.com.
