SEED Grant — Supporting Innovative, Interdisciplinary Research in Reproductive Health

About this program

CFAS offers the SEED Grant to provide early-stage financial support to active CFAS members to kickstart innovative, interdisciplinary research in reproductive health, fund pilot or proof-of-concept work, and generate preliminary data to strengthen future applications to major agencies. The grant prioritizes projects that foster cross-disciplinary collaboration (e.g., clinicians with basic scientists, embryologists with ethicists), demonstrate scientific merit and originality, and align with CFAS’s mission of innovation, excellence in assisted reproduction, and patient-centered care. Eligible applicants are active CFAS members in good standing; only one submission per member is allowed, and projects must be original, clearly articulated, interdisciplinary, and have potential for expansion or external funding. Complete proposals must be submitted via the Annual Meeting section of the CFAS website by the posted deadline and include a clear research question, interdisciplinary approach, timeline and methodology, expected outcomes, and a detailed justified budget; late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
