About this program
The American Society of Primatologists (ASP) offers the Senior Research Award to recognize individuals who, without holding the terminal degree in their field (e.g., Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M.), have made significant research contributions to primatology in laboratories, the field, or zoological gardens; the recipient receives a plaque and a $500 honorarium. Eligible nominees need not be ASP members but must not have received the highest degree offered in their field. Nominations must include a nominating letter, two supporting letters describing the individual's contributions, and a narrative detailing the impact on the field. Nominations are due April 30 of the year under consideration and should be sent to Dr. Juan Carlos Serio Silva at juan.serio@inecol.mx.
