Sharman Award - Conference Bursary

About this program

The Australian Society of Archivists offers the Sharman Award conference bursary to provide travel, accommodation and registration assistance for personal members to attend the ASA annual conference, aimed at enabling attendance for those who would otherwise be unable to attend due to cost. Applicants must be current personal financial members with at least one year’s standing, not representatives of corporate members, not receiving other financial support for conference attendance, available for the entire conference, and agree to submit a post-conference report; members may receive the award only once. Applications must address organisational/employment status, position and duties, length of membership, prior conference attendance, expected benefits from attendance, recent professional contributions and local professional development availability; selection is made by a committee including the Treasurer and sector representatives.
