About this program
The Council for the Advancement of Science Writing (CASW) offers the annual Sharon Begley Science Reporting Award to recognize a mid-career science journalist and support a significant reporting project. The award includes at least $20,000 in project funding and professional mentorship from a senior science journalist. Applicants should demonstrate high-quality science reporting through 3–5 work samples and submit a cover letter, resume, supporting documents and letters, and a project proposal by April 30.
