Shih-Chun Wang Young Investigator Award

About this program

The American Physiological Society offers the annual Shih‑Chun Wang Young Investigator Award ($10,000 plus reimbursement of the American Physiological Summit early registration fee) to recognize outstanding promise in physiological sciences research, with historical emphasis on neurophysiology and neuropharmacology. Awardees must attend the American Physiological Summit; the award cannot be deferred and is contingent on available funding. Eligible applicants must be APS members in good standing for at least two consecutive years, be working within the United States, and hold an academic rank no higher than assistant professor. Applications are accepted only online and must include a 3‑page description of current and pending research, a one‑page justification, an NIH/NSF‑style biosketch, list of current and pending support, Summit abstract(s), one letter of recommendation from a department chair/administrator/mentor, and at least one additional letter of support.
