SIAG/SC Best Paper Prize (SIAM Activity Group on Supercomputing Best Paper Prize)

The SIAM Activity Group on Supercomputing (SIAG/SC) awards the biennial SIAG/SC Best Paper Prize to the most outstanding English‑language paper in parallel scientific and engineering computing published in a peer‑reviewed journal; the next prize will be presented at the 2028 SIAM Conference on Parallel Processing for Scientific Computing with a call for nominations opening 1 March 2027. Eligible papers are those published within the four calendar years preceding the award (for 2028: 1 Jan 2024–31 Dec 2027); nominations must include a bibliographic citation, a digital PDF of the paper, and a nominator’s letter supported/signed by at least two individuals, and at least one author must be a SIAG/SC member at the time of nomination. The selection committee names the winning author(s); the award includes a certificate and an invitation for a representative author to give a plenary lecture (SIAM will reimburse reasonable travel expenses), with no cash prize specified.
