SIAM Activity Group on Computational Science and Engineering Best Paper Prize

About this program

The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Activity Group on Computational Science and Engineering awards its Best Paper Prize biennially for an outstanding peer-reviewed paper advancing mathematical and computational methods in science, engineering, technology, or society. The prize recognizes multidisciplinary work demonstrating novelty, creativity, broad impact, and lasting contributions, and includes certificates and an invitation for at least one recipient to present the paper at a SIAM conference. Eligible papers must be published in English in a peer-reviewed journal within the specified four-year window; for the 2029 award, publication must occur from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2027. Nominations require a recommendation letter, full bibliographic citation, and PDF of the paper, with the next call scheduled for March 1, 2028.
