NSGC SIG Research Grant Funding

About this program

The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) offers SIG Research Grants of up to $2,500 for research projects that advance the goals of its Special Interest Groups. Applications undergo SIG review followed by review by the RQO SIG Grant Subcommittee, with funds awarded through the applicant’s institution grants office. The submitting investigator must be a current NSGC member, and SIG membership requirements vary; proposals must be no more than six pages and include required project, budget, timeline, conflict-of-interest, biographical, and bibliography materials. Allowable costs include participant incentives, data analysis support, and IRB expenses, while salary, indirect costs, travel, conference, poster, and publication expenses are prohibited; the 2026 fall-cycle deadline was July 15.
