SIGCOMM Award Nominations

About this program

ACM SIGCOMM presents the annual SIGCOMM Award for outstanding lifetime technical achievement in data and computer communications; the prize includes an engraved Tiffany’s pyramid, a $2,000 honorarium, and an invitation to deliver a technical address at the SIGCOMM Conference. Nominations must be uploaded via the online form (available one month before the deadline) and received by March 31 each year, with the selected awardee notified in late May–early June. Self-nominations, nominations of Award Committee members, SIGCOMM Executive Committee members, or previous awardees are ineligible; the nominator must be an ACM SIGCOMM member while the nominee need not be. Required materials are the nominee’s CV, a one-sentence statement of the work for the plaque, a description of the nominee’s role, justification of the lifetime contribution, and up to four letters of recommendation (at least three recommended); late submissions will be held for the following year.
