Sigma Xi Honorary Membership

About this program

Sigma Xi offers Honorary Membership as a lifetime recognition for distinguished individuals who are not otherwise eligible for Society membership but have significantly served science, science education, the research community, or Sigma Xi. No more than two individuals may be elected annually by the Board of Directors. Nominees must be submitted by January 31 through the Award Nomination Form and include a curriculum vitae of no more than 10 pages, a nomination letter addressing their accomplishments and contributions, and one or two supporting letters of no more than one page each.
