About this program

The Systematics Association offers grants to support organisation of meetings aligned with its aims, providing up to £1,500 for meetings without a special volume and up to £3,000 for meetings that will produce a Special Volume in the Association’s series. Applications must be submitted at least nine months before the meeting and are open to meeting organisers (particularly taxon-focused meetings); preference is given to organisers intending to publish a Special Volume and to events that demonstrate diversity, gender balance and improved access for participants from developing countries. Decisions are made by the Association’s council (applicants notified within a month of the council meeting); where £3,000 is awarded half is paid upfront and the balance on acceptance of a CRC Press book proposal, any unused funds must be returned, and successful applicants must acknowledge support and provide a meeting report.
