SPR Award for Distinguished Contributions to Psychophysiology

The Society for Psychophysiological Research (SPR) confers the Award for Distinguished Contributions to Psychophysiology, its highest honor recognizing sustained, distinguished contributions to the field—including research impact using psychophysiological methods, methodological advances, service to SPR, mentorship, and efforts to increase representation; the award is honorary (no monetary prize) and presented at the SPR annual meeting. Nominations are solicited beginning at the fall meeting with a stated deadline of March 31; nominations may be made by SPR members and self-nominations are encouraged, with particular outreach to nominees from historically underrepresented groups. Typical nominees are senior SPR members with multiple decades of sustained contributions after the terminal degree, and the Senior Award Committee (Past President, President, President‑Elect) makes the selection. Required materials are the nominee’s CV and a brief statement (under one page) describing how the candidate meets the selection criteria.
