SPSSI Two-Year College Teaching & Mentoring Excellence Award

About this program

The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI) offers the Two-Year College Teaching and Mentoring Excellence Award to recognize faculty who advance social-issues research through teaching, mentoring, or community initiatives at two-year institutions. The award includes $1,000, one year of SPSSI membership, a plaque, and recognition in SPSSI publications. Eligible nominees are two-year college faculty who have integrated psychological or allied social science research into courses, programs, student training, or community workshops. Applications, including a 2–3-page statement, one student support letter, one faculty or administrator letter, and optional supporting materials, are due November 15 annually; self-nominations are encouraged.
