SSBCI Technical Assistance Program - Connecticut Innovations

About this program

Connecticut Innovations, using SSBCI funds awarded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, is administering a Technical Assistance program to expand access to capital and economic opportunity by funding legal, accounting, and financial advisory services for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals (SEDI) and Very Small Businesses (VSBs, fewer than 10 employees). CI is soliciting nonprofit or for‑profit provider organizations (not individuals) to be matched with eligible companies; providers must meet at least one qualification: primary mission to provide the services, regularly market those services, or dedicate ≥25% of revenue or staff to those services. Eligible companies must be SEDI and/or VSBs (<10 employees), be applying for, preparing to apply for, or have applied for an SSBCI capital program or other federal/jurisdiction small business program, and demonstrate need for legal, accounting, or financial advisory assistance. Providers should submit the provider application and companies should complete the inquiry form on CI’s site; CI staff will review submissions and contact applicants.
