SSR Emerging Investigator Grant

About this program

The Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR) offers approximately eight one-year Emerging Investigator Grants of up to $10,000 each to provide seed funding for preliminary data across all reproduction-, fertility-, and development-related research worldwide. Proposals must be submitted electronically using SSR’s formatting guidelines; awards are paid to the institution, cover direct costs only, and may not be used for salaries. Eligible applicants are early-stage independent investigators (within five years of the start of their first independent position) with a doctoral degree who have not received more than $100,000 USD total in competitive research funding, are not trainees, and must be SSR Regular Members at the time of application and for three years post-award. Recipients must present results at an SSR annual meeting within three years, submit a final report and fund reconciliation within 60 days of project end, and previous SSR Emerging Investigator Grant recipients are ineligible.
