About this program

Raptor Research Foundation’s Stephen R. Tully Memorial Grant supports research and conservation of raptors, giving priority to students and amateur investigators with limited access to alternative funding. One annual award offers up to $4,500 plus waived page charges to publish in the Journal of Raptor Research; the awardee must be the primary author and the published paper must reflect the funded research. Applicants (agency proposals are not accepted) must submit a cover letter, CV, a proposal of ≤5 pages detailing background/justification, objectives and methods, budget, other funding sources and expected results, literature cited (≤1 page), and a photograph; online applications open each January and are accepted through June 30.
