About this program

AIA New York and the Center for Architecture offer the Stewardson Keefe LeBrun Travel Grant, providing one or more awards of up to $25,000 for self-directed educational travel focused on a clear architectural or related field of inquiry. Proposed travel must demonstrate financial need, professional relevance, and a meaningful contribution to the applicant’s development. Applicants must be U.S. citizens with a professional architecture degree who are practicing architects; academics may apply only if they also practice, while graduate students are ineligible. Applications require an abstract, statement of purpose, résumé, detailed itinerary and budget, professional portfolio, and two signed recommendation letters, including one from an AIA member.
