STFM Resident Teacher Award

About this program

The Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) offers the Resident Teacher Award to recognize a family medicine resident’s outstanding commitment to teaching and medical education. Each family medicine residency program may honor one resident annually, although programs are not required to present the award every year. Eligible recipients should be third- or fourth-year residents, with preference for STFM members, who demonstrate excellence in activities such as student and peer teaching, educational presentations, committee service, community education, or presentations at family medicine meetings. Faculty select the recipient and submit an online nomination form to obtain a printable certificate.
