STP Mentorship of Teachers Award

About this program

The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP), Division Two of the American Psychological Association, offers the Mentorship of Teachers Award to recognize exceptional mentorship of teachers across career stages and disciplines. The award includes $1,500 or up to $1,500 in travel reimbursement to attend STP’s Annual Conference on Teaching, along with a plaque. Applicants should demonstrate leadership and sustained contributions to developing teachers through guidance, professional development, tenure and promotion advice, SoTL support, or training; STP membership is encouraged, particularly for individuals from underrepresented groups. Submissions are due February 15 and must include a two-page cover letter, CV, three support letters—including one from a mentee—and a supervisor’s letter.
