Strengthening the Field Fund (StFF)

About this program

The System Dynamics Society’s Strengthening the Field Fund provides annual grants (2026 budget $20,000; typical range $10–$20K) to support activities that expand the System Dynamics field—such as member development, training materials, knowledge dissemination, SDS Chapter/SIG activities, competition awards, and partnerships with related organizations. Applications are accepted year-round for projects up to 12 months (multi‑year efforts require separate annual applications), and the committee generally allocates funding across multiple projects rather than funding a single large award. Eligibility is restricted to System Dynamics Society members, who must log in to apply and follow the fund guidelines for submission details.
