About this program
The Society for Biomaterials (SFB) offers Student Travel Achievement Recognition (STAR) Awards to honor student research excellence and support the development of future leaders. Approximately 25 awardees are selected annually, with recipients receiving a certificate and $250 monetary award; Honorable Mentions receive certificates. Applicants must be students submitting abstracts for the SFB Annual Meeting and provide certification of student status. Selection is based on abstract review scores and evaluation by the relevant Special Interest Group and SIG Chair Committee.
