Sussex Archaeological Society Research Grants (including the Sally Christian Fund)

The Sussex Archaeological Society offers a twice-yearly research grant scheme, including the Sally Christian Fund, to support work that furthers public understanding of the history and archaeology of Sussex; awards are made in March and September and total £2,000 per year distributed across multiple recipients. Funding can cover research costs and applicants may request special research access to the Society’s library and reserve collections at its museums. Eligible applicants include researchers working on Sussex history or archaeology and individuals of all ages undertaking archaeological research or study (including those not enrolled on formal courses); no per-award amounts or institutional restrictions are specified.
