SysEB Thomas Say Award

About this program

The Entomological Society of America’s Systematics, Evolution, and Biodiversity Section offers the Thomas Say Award for significant and outstanding published research in insect systematics, morphology, or evolution, including insect allies; the award includes a plaque and cash prize. Nominated works must be single publications at least two years old with a minimum of 15 citations, and at least one author must be an ESA SysEB member. The lead author must be based at a U.S., Canadian, or Mexican institution, or the research must focus on Nearctic or Neotropical insects or allies; nominations require a nomination letter, publication copy, and specialist assessments. Complete electronic nominations are due annually by June 1 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
