The Tampa Bay Estuary Program administers the Tampa Bay Environmental Restoration Fund (TBERF), a competitive grant program supporting habitat restoration, water-quality improvement projects, applied research, and education across the Tampa Bay watershed. Awards typically range from $25,000–$250,000, with approximately $700,000 available annually, and projects must be completed within three years of contract execution; the next RFP will be published in January 2027 and close in March.
