Team Science Awards to support multi-PI cancer research

Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute’s Team Science Awards (planned release Fall 2026) fund new multi‑PI, cancer-focused collaborations among Cancer Institute members to accelerate data generation for NCI grant submissions and cancer‑relevant publications. Each PI must be a Cancer Institute Full Member and the team must include PIs from different Cancer Institute Programs; a letter of intent is required and proposals may not supplement already funded research and must align with the Institute’s mission. Awards provide up to $100,000 for one year, prohibit faculty salary support and indirect costs, and applicants are encouraged to budget for use of Institute Shared Resources. Proposals are peer‑reviewed with final selections by the Cancer Institute Director, and awardees must participate in Institute activities and complete annual outcome surveys to remain eligible for future support.
