Ted Quinn Early Career Award (ANS HFICD)

About this program

The ANS Human Factors, Instrumentation & Control Division (HFICD) offers the Ted Quinn Early Career Award to recognize outstanding early-career contributions to nuclear instrumentation and control or human–machine interface technologies, consisting of a $500 monetary award and plaque presented at the NPIC‑HMIT Topical Meeting or the ANS Annual Conference (no travel reimbursement). Nominees must be 40 years of age or younger at nomination, have a demonstrable contribution in one or both of the specified fields, and have been a registered HFICD member in good standing for at least the previous three years. Nominations must include a completed form, a nominator’s letter of recommendation, a ~1,000‑word narrative of accomplishments and significance, a brief chronological resume, a list of publications (if applicable), and up to five letters of support; the recipient is selected by the HFICD Honors and Awards Subcommittee.
