TEDCO SBIR/STTR Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) Support Program

About this program

TEDCO's SBIR/STTR TABA Support Program provides targeted Technical and Business Assistance by directly procuring and managing expert commercialization services to help Maryland-based early-stage technology and life‑science companies translate SBIR/STTR-funded R&D into market-ready products. Funding supports activities such as market analysis, regulatory planning, IP strategy, business model development, and commercialization roadmapping, with up to $6,500 per project for Phase I and up to $50,000 for Phase II (amounts and whether funds are inside or additional to agency awards vary by federal agency). Eligible applicants must be Maryland-headquartered companies with fewer than 250 employees and have the CEO plus at least 50% of the workforce located in Maryland; applications are accepted on a rolling basis and TEDCO collaborates with awardees to develop a customized Statement of Work and provides ongoing oversight.
