About this program
The Texas Historical Commission offers Texas Preservation Trust Fund grants of up to $50,000 for acquisition, surveying, restoration, preservation, planning, and heritage education involving historic architectural or archaeological properties and collections in Texas. Competitive awards require a one-to-one match and reimburse eligible project expenses. Eligible applicants include public or private property owners, managers, lessees, maintainers, potential purchasers, and organizations whose purposes include historic preservation; non-owner applicants must obtain the owner’s acknowledgment and agreement to comply with THC requirements. Applications are due February 2, 2027.
