The Alice and C. C. Wang Award in Molecular Parasitology

The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) offers the Alice and C. C. Wang Award in Molecular Parasitology, providing $35,000 for the recipient’s research laboratory, a plaque, and travel expenses to present a lecture at the ASBMB annual meeting; the winner will also organize a symposium on molecular parasitology. The award recognizes established investigators who have made novel, significant contributions to the biology of parasitic protozoan organisms across areas such as biochemistry, molecular biology, gene regulation, metabolism, cell and developmental biology, and host–pathogen interactions. Nominations must originate from ASBMB members, though nominees need not be ASBMB members; nominees should be internationally recognized scientific leaders, and current Wang Award Selection Committee members are ineligible and may not submit nominations or support letters.
