About this program

The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy offers Proposition 68 grants to support projects that protect and restore wildlife, habitat, and historical or archaeological resources, including habitat restoration in urban and rural areas. Approximately $375,000 is available statewide through reimbursement-based awards, with projects required to be located within the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Zone and encumbered by June 30, 2026. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and tribal governments; matching funds are not required. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
